Personalised products are by no means a new concept and there are many Facebook pages and websites that provide this service but Claireabella do it best (http://www.toxicfox.co.uk/claireabella). My favourite product they offer are the Jute Bags, mine is pictured above and the picture really does not do it justice as you can’t see the sparkly bits ! When ordering you are able to choose a variety of hair colours and styles, different eye colours, outfits and a name down the side to make it really individual. Starting at £24.99 these long lasting, hand painted bags are perfect for shopping trips or like me a really stylish way to carry your lunch to work. With the beach season upon us I would most definitely be buying the bikini bag (as pictured below) if I was lucky enough to be going away. These products also make the perfect gift as they require no effort as you don’t have to leave the house but show a lot of thought and you know your friend / loved one will receive a one off item.

I’m back and still loving pink !!!!

 

So it has been a long, long time since I have written a post, but being heavily pregnant has encouraged me to rekindle my blogging career.

 

Being heavily pregnant has made me very jealous of all the beautiful clothes on the market and my green eyed monster has reared it’s ugly head whilst looking a pink boutique (www.pinkboutique.co.uk).From shoes to swimwear this website has everything you need for a night out and chilled summers days. I think I will be having more of the latter of the two with a baby on the way. The website is extremely easy to navigate and postage costs are fairly reasonable, including free postage for orders over £75, but most importantly the prices of the products are extremely reasonable. I have found that boutique style websites are popping up left , right and centre however when I type in a description of the outfit on eBay I can see that they have been shipped in from Hong Kong and sold at double the price (Not even lying , try it for yourself).  This isn’t the case with pink boutique and the quality of the items are very good. I have posted some pics of  the looks I have been drooling over as my waistline has been rapidly expanding. Have a look and let me know what you think.

This will always be my first stop….

So payday came and the bills came, and my bank was almost empty , of course in a moment of panic I Thought how am I going to get my fake tan fix this month ??? I knew I wouldn’t be able to go for my normal Lauren’s way and although I love it I also fancied a change. I’d heard good thngs about St Moriz so I had a google around to find the best price, being the bargain hunter that I am (watch out David Dickison, or whoever the bloke is that does it now) I stumbled across this website , thanks to a google search, just call me Sherlock because I have found a hidden Gem. http://www.firststopcosmeticshop.co.uk . With a really reasonable price,I bought the lot, medium for work , dark for weekends and the instant for a top up on nights out, this may seems excessive but adding the prices together it works out the same as my bottle of Laurens way (which I do still love) . Be warned the dark one is very very dark, but I like that, the colour is lovely and you would not know it was cheap at all and the spray on instant one gives you a much better instant look then the other standard rub on instant tans needless to say with all the bottles I bought I will be
Realising this I got carried away and ordered some Urban decay bits too as I have ALWAYS loved Urban decay they offer the perfect solution of eyeshadow pots with the brushes in, I remember boujouis did something similar and they are amazing to pop in the make up bag as they don’t smash up like a standard eye shadow( I really HATE that as you end up with bits of black eyeshadow everywhere). My fave colour of the urban decay ones I bought is rockstat its black with purple specks of glitter and goes perfectly with the studs and skulls style that seems to be so on trend right now. I also could not resist the Pina Colada lipgloss, I’m doing crazy weight loss at the moment so I get all the taste with no calorieswinner winner chicken dinner (yum roast dinner, can you tell im dieting?)
The website has so many different brands on it like, Clarins, Elizabeth Arden and Clinique, at cheaper prices, it’s the brand alley of cosmetics. The delivery price was extremely reasonable and it came packaged beautifully in lovely pink paper, so would be great to order from and send to someone as a gift, there is even a gift wrapping option at the till . It’s really easy to navigate around , split by both brands and products. Baby got back !

I want to kiss the man who invented these, that’s right a big fat snog straight on the lips. The party season is coming up and these are a handbag essential. We have all been there, beautiful outfit with the perfect shoes, whack them on and OUCH do they pinch, now do we submit to the Jack Duckworth fashion disaster of using a plaster to fix the problem ? or tuck into the handbag and pull out the bling back,? no contest ! These beauty’s are designed with a silicone lip which just tuck into the back of the shoe to prevent the rubbing. They are pretty sticky and I have managed to transfer them from shoe to show so they are going to last a while. But the invention could of stopped there but the genius inventor thought, no what this product needs is bling ! to me what every product needs is bling so I’m sold. This adds another dimension to the product, meaning you can take your not so glam work shoes to a nighttime look in seconds, and what with office parties etc coming up this little gem is PERFECT. It’s usally my way, but this time it’s Lauren’s!

I’ve been away a while, busy with my masters degree (oo err get me) but I am back now and here we go. My name is Laura-Kate and I am a tanaholic !!!!! I was always a fake bake girl through and through, however my twitter feed was full of people saying how amazing Lauren Goodger’s darker then dark tan was. So I ordered some and at £17.95 it is cheaper then your average spray tan. The delivery was really fast and that night I defluffed and prepped for tanning. Using a mitt which is absolutely essential i applied the tan. Initially I was like FML this has gone on a strange colour, but don’t worry rub it in evenly and go to sleep. In the morning I sleepily jumped into the shower and washed the colour off. I looked a beautiful golden colour, so much so one of my fellow students was very confused and asked if I had been on holiday. Even my other half noticed and that says something. I have never been a fan of celebrity endorsed product, but Lauren knows her shit ! Genuinely the best fake tan I have ever used !!! I am a complete convert, this is definitely feeding my tan addiction. Totally Nailed It.

Feeling a bit nifty

I have been totally in love with name necklaces ever since Carrie Bradshaw donned one in the girl bible that is Sex And The City. I stumbled across nifty necklaces on twitter follow them (@niftynecklace) she is such a lovely girl and her products are great. You can have your name (or someone elses if your’e having an identity crisis, whatever we don’t judge) for literally just £20. Instead of being just a boring necklace this one is made of funky perspex in a variety of colours (pink being my fave obvs) and you can have nick names or even your business name on one which is a great way of advertising.

Strawberry Curl Girl

Some of you may have read my blog on sleep rollers and will know I just was not impressed. Having almost given up on the idea of rollers all together i came across strawberry curls (www.strawberrycurls.com) and thought o.k jut one more go. I had a small problem with delivery but this was rectified almost immediately. The thing about strawberry curls is that they are the lazy girls best friend , you wash your hair , let it air dry (yes girls you heard it right NO BLOWDRYING) then wait till your hairs damp (not wet) pop your hair in roll it up twist and pinch, no need for vast amounts of kirby grips, which is great if you have a kirby grip monster in your house like I do (honestly I do not know where they go) I went to the land of nod and by god were these foam shapes comfy. There was a bit of dropping but that is to be expected , and I think I looked pretty cute with the strawberries in my hair ( my other half will disagree). Once I took them out I was literally amazed by the results my hair was beautifully curly and I had used no heat at all. I was so excited that I had found a product that actually worked, and at £9.99 you are on to a winner. You will only need one pack as you can use quite big sections. They are perfect for little girls hair as they do NO damage. Strawberry curls have missed a trick as the rollers are not scented but this could be something for the future. Go out and buy buy buy and I would love to see some pics after. I will leave you withsome results pics. ta ta for now x
